Distinguished CEOs of information and communications technology (ICT) firms and others will make bold predictions at the forthcoming Nigeria ICT Impact CEO forum in Lagos, as this will help governments at all levels make informed decisions.
Scheduled for November 18, 2023, the event is set to welcome prominent figures from Nigeria and tech-savvy CEOs, gathering to explore the future landscape of the ecosystem.
Tayo Adewusi, the Editor-in-Chief of ICT Watch magazine, stated that this event will delve into the interplay between technology and business, projecting forward into the future. He emphasized that this is a must-attend occasion for those keen on leveraging ICT to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
Adewusi highlighted that Nigeria is confronted with challenges spanning environmental concerns, healthcare, food security, economic revival, and population displacement. To address these challenges, governments need comprehensive understanding and real-time monitoring, which necessitate pertinent and timely data.
He added that both the public and private statistical communities are expected to contribute data on emerging issues, requiring agile and rapid indicator production, often achieved through collaboration with strategic partners from academia, the public sector, and private industry.
With the theme “National Challenges and the Imperative of Relevant and Timely Data,” the event will provide a platform for participants from diverse sectors, including regulatory bodies. Notable attendees will include Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as the guest governor, and Prof. Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), who will deliver a keynote address.
